NATURE BASED KIDS WORKSHOPS

NATURE BASED KIDS WORKSHOPS

Looking for interesting nature-based activities and workshops to do with your kids?

From time to time we co-host or run forest school style workshops where we invite families or kids to join for a few hours of learning through dedicated play and experimentation.

Each workshop focuses on a different theme: bugs, seeds, birds, trees, whittling and lots more!

An opportunity for children from four years old and up (with or without parents to play & learn about our environment, and be immersed in nature.

To stay in the loop on workshops as and when they become available, be sure to join the Parent Den and sign up to our mailing list.

Bushcraft Workshops
(Ages 8+)

Welcome to our bushcraft series! From time to time Nature Plays runs drop-and-go weekend workshops for children ages 8 and above. These workshops allow older children to work with real tools and learn how to make amazing things out of wood: pencils, forest gnomes, butter knives and lots more.

They learn enhanced fine motor skills, guided by trained facilitators and they get to take their creations home.

Carve your own Pencil

Come and join us in another Bushcraft workshop – learning how to make our very own forest pencils!
From finding our own sticks in the forest to learning the skill of carving, to using a hand-powered drill to begin our creative process.

We will follow a fun step-by-step process and engage in crafting a completely usable pencil from a stick, leather and lead. Children can take these pencils home and use them as a reminder of a wonderful day crafting in the forest!
